I wish you all a merry Christmas, filled with love and laughter.
“And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
John 1:14
Today we believers celebrate the day when Jesus, the Lion of Judah, the Arm of the Lord, the Alpha and Omega, the King of Kings, and Son of the Living God humbled himself and became a human infant, experiencing the mundanity and pain of human life for three decades so that he might become the Deliverer, the Redeemer, the Savior of the human race.
He decided he’d rather die than live without us, the imperfect and fallen sinners, and the lengths to which he went for us absolutely astounds me. I ponder the magnitude of the idea that the Word of God, who was there when the foundations of the universe were laid, choosing to become a human (a human infant!) for our sake, and I realize two things: the thought is too big for me to truly comprehend, and I’m eternally grateful to be an heir to God’s grace.
May you all draw closer to one another and more committed to your most noble purposes on this wonderful day. I pray with earnest goodwill that you would come to know Jesus as I have, and hope you will reach out to me if you’re ever curious. Merry Christmas, friends! Be safe and merry!
