Watching a bit of “It’s a Wonderful Life,” I’m struck by how desperately we need more of the spirit of George and Mary Bailey.
Today our Republic lost a patriot, a soldier, a statesman, and a man of tremendous character. Senator Bob Dole was 98 years old, and served our nation for 79 of them.
I’ve been delinquent in writing this last month, but that is in part due to the fact I’ve been speaking a good bit.
